The FLIR FH-Series R is a ruggedized, multispectral fixed camera purpose-built for early fire detection and perimeter security in demanding industrial and outdoor environments. With high-performance thermal imaging and 4K visible video integrated into a single housing, the FH-Series R delivers real-time threat recognition, temperature monitoring, and visual verification—enhancing response time and reducing false alarms.

Available with 640 × 512 or 320 × 256 uncooled VOx sensors, and featuring thermal sensitivity below 35 mK, the FH-Series R detects even subtle heat signatures across wide and narrow fields of view. Advanced radiometric capabilities enable accurate, non-contact temperature measurement from 0°C to 600°C, supporting fire prevention protocols in high-risk zones.

Alongside its thermal precision, the 4K visible camera provides contextual detail for operators and automated systems. FLIR’s onboard analytics—including region-based intrusion detection, loitering, tampering detection, and object classification using deep-learning CNN models—support intelligent perimeter defense. Built-in scheduling tools and a "vehicle exclusion mode" allow for operational refinement, significantly reducing false alarms from hot vehicle exhaust.

The FH-Series R integrates easily with FLIR United VMS or third-party platforms through ONVIF S, G, and T protocols, NEXUS® SDK, and H.264/H.265 streaming. Its cybersecurity-hardened architecture includes 802.1X, HTTPS encryption, and user access control. IP66/67-rated and MIL-tested, the system thrives in extreme weather, with operating temperatures from -40°C to 70°C and IK10 impact protection.

Intelligent Alarms and Smart Video Analytics

Onboard CNN-powered object classification and FLIR analytics allow the camera to differentiate between genuine intrusions and harmless thermal events like hot car exhausts. Features like tamper detection, loitering alerts, and time-based rule scheduling help reduce false alarms and operator fatigue.
