The FLIR Ranger® R20SS is a long-range, solid-state ground and coastal surveillance radar designed to detect and track personnel, vehicles, and vessels with exceptional speed and precision. Built on a fast-scan, FMCW digital beamforming platform, it delivers high-performance target tracking in virtually any climate or terrain.

With detection capabilities extending to 60 km for large surface targets and up to 12 km for human movement, the R20SS provides 90° sector coverage per panel and optional 360° full azimuth coverage using a pan/tilt unit or multi-panel array. It tracks up to 512 moving objects simultaneously, using adaptive, automatic tracking algorithms that reduce false alarms and enable accurate, real-time monitoring—even in cluttered or challenging conditions.

The R20SS is engineered for mission flexibility: its compact size, man-portable weight, and 1-cable/4-bolt setup make it deployable in minutes, while its compliance with MIL-STD-810G and IP67 ratings ensures reliable operation in harsh environments.
