Product Information

ICI TDL 300 Methane (CH4) Gas Detection

ICI’s TDL 300 (Tunable Diode Laser) is an advanced handheld system which detects methane gas (CH4) at distances of up to 100 meters at volumes of 0 ppm.m to 100,000 ppm.m. Methane leaks are located by pointing the laser beam towards the suspected leak, or along the survey line and examining reflected light density. Our TDL 300 detector is ideal for inspections of distribution pipelines, petrochemical industry refineries, chemical plants, metallurgical production lines, other places that may produce gas leakage.

Long-Range Methane Detection with High Precision

The ICI TDL 300 uses advanced tunable diode laser technology to detect methane (CH₄) gas from distances of up to 100 meters with a sensitivity of just 5 ppm.m. Its fast response time of less than 0.05 seconds ensures leaks are detected almost instantly, making it an essential tool for industrial safety and environmental monitoring.

Reliable Performance in Harsh Environments

Built for extreme conditions, the TDL 300 operates in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 50°C (-4°F to 122°F) with an IP66-rated enclosure for protection against dust and water. Its explosion-proof design (EX ib IIB T4 Gb) ensures safe use in hazardous environments such as petrochemical refineries and industrial plants.

User-Friendly and Portable Design

Weighing just 1.33 lbs, the TDL 300 is lightweight and ergonomically designed for easy handheld operation. The integrated color LCD screen provides real-time readings, while the laser detection system simplifies pinpointing leaks by analyzing reflected light density.

Versatile Applications and Smart Features

Ideal for pipeline inspections, industrial monitoring, and scientific research, the TDL 300 supports multiple gas detection units (ppm.m, LEL.m, and VOL.m). Bluetooth connectivity and a telescope sight option enhance usability, while visual and 85 dB audible alarms ensure clear alerts when gas leaks are detected.
