Product Information

APEX 256

The ICI APEX 256 is a compact, high-performance dual vision thermal imaging system engineered for professional-grade temperature monitoring, early fault detection, and industrial surveillance. Designed with both a 256 × 192 thermal sensor and a full 2-megapixel visible camera, the APEX 256 offers flexible image output modes—IR, visible, fusion, picture-in-picture, and enhanced—delivering reliable visuals and actionable thermal data in real time.

Built with versatility in mind, this camera supports multiple industry-standard protocols including ONVIF, RTSP, MQTT, and Modbus TCP, ensuring seamless integration into existing SCADA systems or VMS platforms. Its advanced analytics and built-in alarm logic allow for programmable triggers, alarm snapshot storage, and secure data sharing via FTP or email—ideal for condition monitoring and automation.

Despite its small footprint (only 170 grams), the APEX 256 is rugged, with an IP67 enclosure rating for outdoor or dusty industrial environments. It’s powered by PoE or standard DC input and is supported by a built-in web interface for configuration and remote viewing via Chrome browser. With support for emissivity, reflected ambient temperature, and NUC (non-uniformity correction), the APEX 256 delivers high-accuracy readings for demanding applications across electrical substations, petrochemical plants, wildlife research, drone integration, and environmental monitoring.

Compact Dual Sensor Imaging for Industrial Monitoring

Equipped with a 256 × 192 thermal sensor and a 2 MP visible camera, the APEX 256 combines infrared and visual imaging in a single compact unit. It captures fine thermal details and visual context simultaneously, making it an ideal solution for inspection, automation, or security.

Protocol-Rich Integration and Smart Connectivity

The APEX 256 supports TCP, RTSP, MQTT, Modbus TCP, and ONVIF, enabling easy integration into third-party control systems, cloud platforms, and remote monitoring dashboards. Built-in alarm and snapshot features enhance autonomous response capabilities.

Web-Based Interface for Easy Remote Access

No special software required—the APEX 256 features an onboard web client, viewable from Chrome, allowing users to configure image parameters, trigger alarms, and monitor temperature data from any location over a secure Ethernet or PoE connection.

Built for Harsh Environments and Flexible Mounting

Lightweight but robust, the APEX 256 is IP67-rated and supports rear or front housing installation. Its small size, low power draw, and rugged construction make it ideal for embedded OEM systems, drones, and field deployments.
