FLIR Elara™ R-190

The FLIR Elara™ R-190 is a CE-compliant, compact radar designed for outdoor security and perimeter intrusion detection. Designed to operate as part of a broader video surveillance ecosystem, the R-190 tracks vehicles up to 300 meters away and humans up to 125 meters—even in poor weather, darkness, or visually obstructed areas.

With a 90° horizontal field of view, the Elara R-190 scans at 10 Hz, delivering near-instant updates and tracking of up to 32 moving targets simultaneously. It outputs rich positional telemetry, including GPS coordinates, range, velocity, azimuth, and heading—enabling geospatial precision and automatic cueing of FLIR PTZ, thermal, or visible cameras for live visual confirmation.

Unlike visual-only systems that can be disrupted by shadows or glare, the R-190 uses radar to cut through rain, fog, and darkness with high accuracy (0.6 m resolution, <1 m range error). It integrates easily into FLIR United VMS and other third-party systems via ONVIF or Nexus protocols and supports interactive radar maps with configurable masking zones and PTZ override control.

Low-power (7.5 W), lightweight, and IP66-rated, the R-190 is ideal for safeguarding small infrastructure sites, utility substations, and high-risk outdoor assets where early intrusion detection and fast response are essential.
